This blog is for the members and friends of Opera Pro Cantanti. Please use it to discuss our productions and our plans, and to ask questions of our Artisitc Director, Richard Williams, and of our singers. We very much want to know what you think of our operas and we love to talk about opera. So join in the discussion.

Singing without a conductor, I feel, gives me even more freedom to bring the character to life as I am inspired to do so. While I don't know if it would be possible with an orchestra (I'd like to try it!), I love the connection I feel with our pianist and with the audience, with no conductor "between us"!
